Showcase Your Lube Room

Scott Golomb, Lubrication & Vibration Maintenance Tech., Northampton Generating Co.

Oil Room # 7 is the shot of the entire oil containment area. You can see that we have some windows that kind of made my picture a little bright. We have safety items that are required, sprinkling system & an eye wash unit. MSDS material is there for easy reference. This room contains it all, clean oil drums, oil storage unit, filtration units, Safety Kleen wash sink, grease storage, waste oil containers, and a cabinet for storing hoses, pans, and fittings for filtering work. All Safety Kleen Pig products for oily clean up are also stored here.

This is a picture of the storage shelf for all our Oil Safe containers marked clearly for all personnel to view. Greases that are used, our filters for the Y2K filter machine plus other filtration carts and hand held filtering units. All other items such as De-Case breathers and some Items for other plant usage.

This is a picture of our oil storage rack. This system has an inline filtered pump which sends the clean oil into the storage drum for easy filling. Each station is clearly marked for convenience.
