Unusual Particle Counts Confusing

Bill Pyles, Regional Service Manager, Nortrax SE

I find it odd more particles would show up after the filter unless the filter was shedding comtaminates. A microscopic look at the the particles may tell me it's filter media, possibly a defective batch of filters. I'd also cut open the questional filter. Secondly, I'd run a sample of new oil to check the particle count machine and review how the sample's are being taken and the condition of storage of the bottles. It's possible the comtaminates were in the bottle or tubes.
