Bewildering Oil Analysis Results

Step 1 - Retest suspect samples to verify results.If results are verified proceed to step 2.

Step 2 - Check the location of the sample point to insure it's positioned at a point to obtain a representative sample. If the sample point is too low, bottom sediment could be taken with the sample.

Step 3 - Test sample taken from the common oil drain line where all bearings dump into the main oil reservoir and perform microscopic analysis.particle count and water content. Keep in mind the dilution factor when testing sample from the main oil drain.

Step 4- Insure inspection door gaskets on the main oil reservoir are in good condition.

Step 5 - Perform microscopic analysis on suspect samples

Step 6- Verify water levels with KF Titrator.
